Passing the Torch 2018

Congratulations to the following students for having their work selected to be part of this year’s Seattle Metal’s Guild Passing the Torch Exhibit at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington.

Tanner Trachsel, Celeste Pe, Jennifer Lentz, Caleb Olson, Laycie Thomas and Faith Brown all had work on display from April 20 through June 24, 2018 at the museum.

The Awards Ceremony took place on April 28thand we are happy to congratulate Laycie Thomas for an Honorable Mention in the Tableware Category for her piece titled:  Lost Treasure; to Faith Brown for winning 2nd Place in the Sculpture Category for her piece titled:  Table Miniature; and to Celeste Pe for winning 2nd Place in the Holloware Category.

Passing the Torch is Seattle Metals Guild’s annual statewide jewelry and metal arts competition and exhibition for Washington State high school students. This program gives students the experience of exhibiting their metal work and encourages them to consider a life in metal arts.  Take a look at their stunning work!!!
